ADVOCATE FOR CONFIDENCE…
Easier said than done! Early in my journey, I barley spoke anything about hearing loss to advocate for myself. I thought that asking others to assist me was a bit much, so after researching ADA Laws and witnessing others advocating, I came to the realization that I had rights to do so. It was uncomfortable and old habits die hard. Yet, the more I spoke up, the more my confidence grew. A few tips go a long way. Most importantly, I grew in comfort the more I advocate.

Do the research to find the best technology for hearing. Also by socializing and learning with others who have similar experiences, it can be life changing.
